Weekly Update: September 20th

 Greetings Families!

What a great first week of school for all of us! The students have been doing a great job of getting back into the groove of things. On Friday, we celebrated with a popsicle party!

In math we started Unit 1. We focused on place value, counting on a number line, nickels and pennies and counting by 2s!

In writing we read "Things I Like"and wrote about things they like. Students are working on building their writing stamina.

In reading we read and discussed The Ways We Get to School. We practiced discussing a story and making connections.

Important Papers-
Please return the "Plan Ahead...Just in Case!" form, the permission slip form, and the technology form as soon as possible.

Homework-
This year students will not have daily homework.
