First Grade News: April 28th

  • Do all children around the world have a Tooth Fairy? What other tooth traditions exist in communities around the world? How are they the same or different than the Tooth Fairy?

  • What do you remember about these vocabulary words?
    

WRITING: We began learning about OPINION writing! Ask: What food did you write about last week? Why do you think it is the best food?

NUMBER SCROLLS: Thank you so much for helping us gather the materials to start our number scroll project! We were able to begin our projects and have already had some mathematicians join the "1,000 Club!" Take a look:





SOMERSET PROJECT FAIR AND STEM NIGHT:
Mark your calendars and get your curiosity flowing - the Somerset Project Fair and STEM night is coming on May 2nd, 2024 from 6-8pm! This fun evening for kids of all grades and families will be a mix of hands-on STEM activities and the chance to display a project that YOU make. Projects can be about anything that gets you interested or excited: a science topic, a hobby, or an answer to a question you’ve always wanted to know. You are welcome to attend and have fun whether you choose to make a project or not! If you want to participate with a project, please sign up here.
