Our *FIRST* Weekly Update!
Things to Know:
DODGE: We have our first field trip coming up on Thursday, September 19. We will be exploring soil as an introduction to our first science unit, "Pebbles, Sand, and Silt." We will depart from Somerset at 8:45 and arrive back at 10:45. I am looking for 2-3 parent chaperones to attend. If you are able to make it, please let me know. We'd love to have you join us!
FRIDAY FOLER ROUTINE: Friday folders are sent out at the end of every week. Please check them as soon as they come home and return every Monday. The folder has two pockets labeled "Return to School" and "Keep at Home."
SNACK: Please make sure your child has a healthy, nut-free snack each day! I also happily welcome any extra snacks for students who forget. :-)
PICTURE DAY: SMILE! Picture day is set for the morning of the 12th!
RULES: We learned our classroom rules during our first week of school. These rules are meant to help keep our classroom a safe and happy place for learning. (The last rule is considered a "catch-all" rule; I tell kids that I am happiest when our class is kind and works hard!) Please take a moment to review these rules with your child:
