Things to Know:

SUPPORTING A SOMERSET FAMILY: As many of you may already know, one of our own class families is going through a very difficult time. On Friday, March 11th, 2022, Nico's 8-year-old sister Maya was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. Please visit the following links to learn more about her journey and to offer support for her and her family:

SPRING BOGO BOOK FAIR:

SPRING CONCERTS: Please visit this link to see more information about our Spring Music Concerts. First grade will be performing a concert for parents on Tuesday, May 24 from 6:30-7:00 p.m. First graders should arrive in the gym by 6:15.

CHICKS AND DUCKLINGS: As part of our Animals 2 x 2 science unit, we are comparing and contrasting various animals and their life cycles. We are so fortunate to have partnered with "Farmer Bailey" from Owatonna, who allows us to incubate her chicken and duck eggs each year! Each first grade classroom is currently incubating 4 chick eggs and we have a dozen duck eggs incubating in a 4th incubator in the commons area. Students are getting so excited to see the eggs hatch in the coming weeks!

SOMERSET E-NEWS: There is SO much more going on at Somerset! Please head over to the Somerset E-News to find out more in regard to our Spring Carnival, book fair, PTA playdates, and MORE!
