Ask your child the following questions to hear all about our learning this week!
Writing:
- Can you show me the book you made last week?
- What things should you look for when you proofread, or fix up, your writing?
Reading:
- What animals did you read about during our non-fiction lessons?
- Can you read the following sight words?

Vocabulary:
- What do you know about the words inactive, hibernate, restart, a
nd snap?
Math:
- Can you skip count to 120 by 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s?
- How many groups of tens and ones are there in the following numbers?

Things to Know:
- Field Trip Forms- Please make sure you read and sign the forms sent in your child's folder as soon as you are able. We have 3 fun field trips scheduled through the end of the year! See below for more info:
- Sight Word Packet- Despite all of the challenges of this year and last, our Stars have made so much progress in reading this year! To make sure your child is up-to-speed heading into second grade, I have sent many of you a packet of sight words. Please review them each night. Looking for some fun ways to practice? See below!

Wednesday, May 25- Field trip to Snapology in Minneapolis (9:30-11:30am)
Tuesday, June 7- 1st grade walks to Ivy Falls Park for picnic and playtime (10am)
Thursday, June 9- Last Day of School
