Welcome Back to In-Person Learning!
It has been SO nice to see our Stars back at Somerset again. The faces, the giggles, and the stories shared have made my heart feel so full in the past week! We have had a great start back at school and I am looking forward to another great week ahead!
Now that we are in person, I am excited to be taking more photos of our Stars. This blog will now be a place where I can easily share the latest up-to-date information as well as easily share photos of our learning during the week.
Things to Know:
- In-Person Expectations: Upon our first week back to in-person learning, we reviewed our school-wide Somerset Star expectations as well as our 5 classroom rules. Please take a moment this week to check-in with your child and review the following:
- Show and Tell Tuesday: Students have been excited to continue "Show and Tell Tuesdays" while in school. Similarly to the distance-learning model, we will have 3 friends share each week. If your child comes home with a "Show and Share" slip on any Monday (pictured below), that means it will be his/her Show and Share day the following day (Tuesday of that week). Please refrain from allowing your child to bring any toys or stuffed animals to school unless it is for their scheduled show-and-tell day. Thank you!
- Picture Day: SMILE! We will have a real picture day this year! It is scheduled for in-person learners on February 24. Distance learning kiddos will have an opportunity to sign up for a slot on Feb 25th.
- Conferences: Spring conferences are set for March 2&4. A signup will be sent out soon!
- New Schedule: Here is a copy of our new schedule for in-person learning. Your child will need tennis shoes for P.E. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. :-)

- 2/17: Dodge "Field Trip" (Animal Tracks)
- 2/22-2/26: Kindness Week
