Weekly Update: 3/16/18

Things to Know:

MYSTERY READERS: We are in need of some more mystery readers! Please visit THIS LINK to sign up!

BOOK CHARACTER PARADE: It's our last week of Read Across America month before spring break! Read Across America is a nation-wide initiative to track and celebrate reading progress in honor of one of the most popular and prolific children's book authors, Dr. Seuss! On Thursday of this week, students will be invited to participate in a book character parade! The parade will be at 1:00 p.m. Looking for ideas? Visit this oldie but goodie blog post with easy-peasy costumes!

Special note: Because of the Read Across America reading slips, we will have no Star Chart for the month of March. Less is more, right?!

TOYS AT SCHOOL: Please discourage your child from bringing toys to school. While students are welcome to bring a toy during on their designated sharing time, they are expected to put it away immediately in their lockers for the remainder of the day. I'm talking about you, BeyBlades! ;-)
