Hello, First Grade Families!

Welcome to our class blog! I am so excited to begin a fun-filled year of learning this year at Somerset. This blog will be a forum in which you can find the most up to date information on school happenings throughout the year. I strongly believe in a school culture that fosters a connection between home and the classroom. This year, I strive to provide families with many ways to communicate and find information. 

Now, you may say to yourself, "Mrs. Brignac...A website and a blog? What's the difference?!" I totally get it! However, there is in fact a reason for having both. Here is an outline of what you may find on each site:

*Any urgent information will always be communicated via phone or e-mail.* This blog is meant for fun, so do not worry about checking this site every day! 

Now, I am just going to come out and say it right away: There may be some weeks in which I do not get around to having a blog post. Life happens! However, I do promise to make a concerted effort to try my best. :-)

*Quick reminder:* Please come to our Meet and Greet on this coming Thursday (August 30th) from 4:00-6:00 p.m! It is a great way for students to meet each other and get all materials settled before that first day of school. I hope to see you there!
