Life Cycle Studies:

Through our reading curriculum, Being a Reader, we have been learning about how animals grow and change. We have read a variety of non-fiction texts about animals and their life cycles. This study will continue throughout the spring, and we will soon be able to watch the start of an animal's life cycle in person! Starting in mid-April, we will be incubating both chicken and duck eggs. For many, hatching chicks and ducklings is always one of the most memorable things about first grade! We will be incubating for an estimated hatch date of mid-May.
