The Scholastic News was “How to Save a Baby Dolphin.” The students learned about a baby dolphin that was found on a beach and how rescuers saved his life. THey also practiced reading a diagram and answering questions about it. Our AmazeWorks book was Fred Stays with Me. This story looks at growing up in a split family.

CHICKS ARE HERE!
Of all of our chick eggs, 6 successfully hatched. Meet the gang! (We were surprised by "Pippi," whom is apparently a "Turken" (aka "Naked Neck") breed. Look it up! You won't be disappointed!) We found that many of our dozen were not fertilized. Oh, well! We love our bunch!
