- Our Studies Weekly lesson focused on “Patriotism”. Ask your child about how people show patriotism towards our country: The American Flag, Flag Day, the Pledge of Allegiance and through patriotic songs.
Things to Know:
Field Trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts - Tuesday, January 7 - 9:20 - 11:40
This is a culminating event to our Art Adventure Program. This year, Kristina Young (Stella's mom), has been our parent volunteer who has come to teach the students about all the pieces of art. The students will get to view the pieces of art on our field trip. We will go with our Third Grade Buddies from Mr. Kohnen's Class. Please let me know if you would like to chaperone.
It is a tradition at Somerset for First Grade students to make Gingerbread Houses. We are scheduled to do this on Friday, December 13th from 1-2pm.
