Things to Know:

Somerset Social:

The Somerset Social is coming soon--March 1st!  The following message is from the Somerset Social Committee. They are in need of your help!

Dear 1st Grade Parents,

We're putting together a "Little Potter" basket for the silent auction at the Somerset Social on Saturday, March 1st, and we need your help to make it a masterpiece!

This basket is all about inspiring creativity and getting those little hands messy! We envision a collection of supplies perfect for budding artists, including air-dry clay, sculpting tools, paints, and a book filled with inspiring pottery ideas. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our school while giving someone a truly unique and engaging gift.

You can contribute in two ways:

  • Donate via Venmo: It's quick and easy! Send your donation to @Kovar-Katie

  • Item Donations: Purchase specific items and deliver them to our grade level coordinator, Katie Kovar.

All donations, whether monetary or items, need to be received by Friday, February 14th.

You can contact Katie with any questions or to coordinate drop-off:

  • Phone: 651-235-1263

  • Email: katieseck@gmail.com

Join us for the adults-only Somerset Social on Saturday, March 1st, at 6:30 PM at Mendakota Country Club. It's a great opportunity to meet other parents, enjoy a fun evening, and bid on exciting auction items, including our amazing Little Potter Basket! Purchase your tickets for this great event at www.somersetsocial.org.

We appreciate your support in making the Somerset Social a success!

Sincerely,

The Somerset Social Committee

Somerset’s Annual Kindness Day:

At Somerset students do not exchange Valentines. Instead, we celebrate Kindness Day where the whole school participates in six different stations that will benefit six different community organizations.  Students enjoy making items to benefit and spread kindness to others!

100th Day of School:

We will be celebrating the 100th Day of School on Thursday, February 20th! The students can dress up as if they are 100 years old! This day is always a favorite for our first graders. See the note below to for more information about ideas for what your child can wear! This note is also in your child’s Take Home Folder.
