READING AT HOME:

Scholastic News Articles:

In your child's Take Home folder, you will find our latest Scholastic News article. There is an online component that is a great way to rack up those Read-a-Thon minutes! Here are some ways for your child to make the most of them:
  • Click on this link to get to the Scholastic News website.
  • Under the "Subscribe" button, click on "log in as a student"
  • Use our classroom password: brignac
  • Find the issue you're reading and explore the "read to me" function, watch videos, play accompanying games, and more!

PebbleGO!:

Students enjoyed getting a chance to check out the app PebbleGo! Feel free to explore the app at home using this login:

EPIC!

Epic! is a paid app that students can use during school hours. I recently learned that I can assign students books to read each week. If you would like to check them out (or use the app during school hours), you can download EPIC! and use our class code:

Happy Reading!

KANGAROO FUN!

We had the privilege of having some very special visitors this week! Our classmate, Wesley's, grandmother has connections to Safari Country Animal Park in Baldwin, WI. She was kind enough to bring TWO baby kangaroos to show us!

We also learned facts about their diet, size, habitat, and more! Ask your child about their favorite kangaroo facts that we learned about that day. :-)
